Where to Watch the 6 Nations in NYC

All eyes will be on the 6 Nations which start next Saturday Feb 2nd, as Northern Hemisphere international rugby takes centre stage for the next few weeks. In what promises to be a closely fought tournament, extra scrutiny will be on the performance of individual players from the 4 “home nations”, as they vie for a spot on Warren Gatland’s British & Irish Lions squad, for the Australia tour in June.

BBC America are once again showing a key game each week, meaning you can watch from the comfort of your sofa or pretty much any pub. Why not choose one of the pubs which support GEORGE such as The Churchill, Tavern 29, Arctica, Cock & Bull and Jones Wood Foundry.

Over my 12 yrs in NY some pubs have garnered a reputation for being go to bars for rugby fans. I recommend you always ring in advance, to check they’re showing your game and ask whether there’s a, ‘cover charge’ which is sometimes required depending on who holds the broadcast rights. Its often $10-$20 and that does not include breakfast or a pint.

So in no particular order here are 10 Rugby pubs in Manhattan.
